travel light, wake early, walk far
I love the Massanutten mountains because they are so close, scenic, and relatively uncrowded. This weekend was no exception. It was a great opportunity to welcome four new backpackers to DC UL: Khanh, Sam, Laura, and Eric.
Among us, we had a lot of fruit, muffins, cookies, soda, beer, and even some vegetables!
Ginny and Ian explored the swimming hole while others waded or generally enjoyed the peaceful setting.
We danced around, but most of us couldn’t keep our feet dry (or avoid the mud). Shane stomped through the water pools.
And what a view it was! Miyuki could see all the way to Massanutten and even Shenandoah.
